Grimm & Gorly participated with group of outstanding wedding service providers who share a love of making special events spectacular. The photo shoot was staged at the Main Street Abby, the newest wedding and event venue located in Columbia, Illinois.

The photo shoot was the idea of Joel Conner of St Louis Wedding Photographer Shadow and Light as a great way to introduce bring outstanding artists, all members of the wedding and event network in the area, together and create an opportunity to not only see the area’s newest venue in Columbia, but to show off what it is they do best.

Under the orchestration of wedding planner, Ashley Erlinger of Signed Sealed Delivered Events, a group of wedding and event professionals were assembled to add their own unique flair to demonstrate how to celebrate one of the most important moments in a couple’s life.

Grimm & Gorly‘s own lead floral designer Zach Bair was invited to participate by composing several examples of the unique floral artistry that Grimm & Gorly bring to each and everything they do whether it is a large project such as a wedding or event or a simple bouquet picked up at a moment’s notice just because. “We were honored to be chosen to join with these other fantastic vendors to make this photo shoot show how fabulous a wedding can be when you put yourselves in the right hands of a talented team of professionals.”

Dustin Row, events manager of the Main Street Abbey said, Being a brand new venue and having literally “the A team” show up and do a shoot of this quality, was unreal. The work ethic and creativity I witnessed during the shoot was very unlike like anything I have ever seen. We here at the Abbey are forever grateful for all of these amazing vendors and now friends.”

Catering was provided by The Social Affair Boutique Catering & Event Design‘s Kelly Spencer who is the company’s founder and Executive Chef.  The Social Affair contributed delicious (and picturesque) Hanging Salad Orbs on Edible Poppy Seed Spoons, Grilled Local Peach and Burrata Caprese Salad with Arugula Pesto, Artisan Cheese and Charcuterie Board with Local and Imported Cheese, Locally Cured Salami’s and House Seasonal Chutneys Union Loafters Artisan Breads with their Infused Olive Oils.

Event calligraphy was created and presented by Hand-Lettering by Stephanie.  This shoot was hands-down, one of my favorites,” said Stephanie. Ashlee of SSD had a unique vision and pulled together some of he most amazing vendor talent I’ve seen. I created envelopes to add to the invite suite using an opaque white ink in modern calligraphy. Ink and paper calligraphy have my heart but I’m also enjoying the larger pieces such as mirrors and acrylic. I love making different surfaces come to life with meaningful quotes, menus, seating charts – the options are endless.  I was also able to contribute a large acrylic piece, two dressing room mirrors – lettered with quotes, and vellum placecards for each place setting.

Grand Rental of Fairview Heights and the rest of the team assembled a stunning tablescape with some of Grand Rental’s newest rustic and chic rental equipment such as the Farm Tables, Gold trumpet style decorative urns, Lanterns and Compote Bowls.

We’ve posted some of the spectacular photos by Shadow and Light Photography in this post. The Main Street Abbey provided the exquisite and picturesque location. The gorgeous stationary you’ll see in the photos were provided by Staphanie McGee of Hand-Lettering by Stephanie and Unique Moments’ own Amanda Schwent.
